Bound I Less

The act of painting is like a battle. It is an inner experience, and not a simple pleasure. At first glance, a painting may appear good. However, I wonder whether the painting is really good, or just what we are accustomed to. My solution is to cover the image with a more powerful color, negating the canvas. I image that many viewers, including myself, will be upset by this act of negation. But every time color completely covers the original image, it is like a new beginning. It is the new beginning that attracts me.
